ARTES 4.0 - PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES- STANDARD CALL FOR PROPOSAL

The present Standard Call for Proposals is part of the Generic Programme Lines (GPL) "Industrial Competitiveness" of the Programme of Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems (ARTES 4.0), in particular its Component B: Industry-Initiated Activities. The specific objective of Preparatory Activities is to carry out activities (typically Phase 0/A/B1) that may be required for the Partnership Project to reach a sufficient maturity level to be formally proposed as an Industry-Initiated Partnership Project to be conducted in the framework of this Generic Programme Line or a Strategic Programme Line. Industry-Initiated Preparatory Activities of this Standard Call for Proposals shall be aimed at supporting and preparing a future Industry-Initiated Partnership Project.The preparatory activities may cover the following aspects: The feasibility analysis for the intended system; The definition of the preliminary technical specifications and system baseline; The identification of technical, schedule, financial and other risks; The definition of all required strategic/business and financial elements that are necessary in support of the future Project Proposal; The definition of the organisation required to develop the system; Critical early stage pre-development of technology; Critical early stage validation of technology or service.
