STANDARD CALL FOR PROPOSAL FOR GSTP ELEMENT 2: MAKE ACTIVITIES

The activities in GSTP Element 2 "Make" aim to strengthen worldwide competitiveness in the near term in existing markets, establish strategic capabilities which will result in stronger competitiveness in the medium term on existing or new markets, and to support the implementation of National priorities. GSTP Element 2 "Make" aims to support design, development, and demonstration activities. Products and technologies are defined to be any hardware, software, or applications within the scope set out in section 3 below. Key characteristics of this Element are: The role of industry in defining and proposing projects oriented to commercial or institutional opportunities in all areas of satellite applications except satellite telecommunication (not covered by GSTP); The outcome of an activity will eventually become a product ready for exploitation. The sharing of funding by ESA and industry. Activities submitted in the frame of GSTP Element 2 Make" may be related to the improvement or development of satellite subsystems or equipment (including EGSE), space transportation subsystems or equipment up to engineering model or qualification model, and the improvement or development of ground / user system and equipment up to prototypes and commercialized products. Activities should address any the following technology themes: Earth observation, science, exploration, human spaceflight, space transportation, satellite navigation or generic technologies.
