ICT Migration and Managed Services for Met Éireann.

This Prior Information Notice is to inform the market that Met Éireann plans to issue an open tender seeking a qualified Managed Service Provider (MSP) to supply, implement, migrate, manage, support, secure, and evolve Met Éireann’s ICT infrastructure and services. To align with Met Éireann’s Strategic Plan 2024–2034, this will include the delivery of a modern, resilient, dual-site ICT Infrastructure and applications. This will require the migration of one of Met Éireann’s current data centres to a new site. The services required will include a mix of on-premise and cloud infrastructure for compute and storage, networking, security and managed service capability for both operational and research environments. It should be noted that Met Eireann services are expected to be classed as critical national infrastructure and essential services under the upcoming Critical Entities Resilience (CER) Regulations implementation. As such, all services must be available on a 24*7*365 basis. Additionally, this will include the management of Met Éireann’s Windows and LINUX estates including servers, endpoints and all associated operating systems and software, including Microsoft applications.
