TR4766 - The provision of a weather data Service Provider to provide an enhanced weather solution

It is proposed that the Contract will include (non-exhaustive list – high level scope): ESB Networks are looking to introduce a new enhanced weather solution suite including daily email alerts, an API, weather reporting, and a visualisation tool that will provide real-time data on key data objects including temperature, wind speed, humidity, UV level, solar radiance, storm and lightning strikes. Weather data will be a key input into forecasting of system constraints and where flexibility service providers (FSPs) may need to be leveraged. The visualisation tool will Integrate real-time data into a visual display within the Control Room and will provide ESB Networks’ Operations team with enhanced capabilities for preventing and monitoring outages including faster dispatch and resolution following weather events. The weather service procurement will encompass the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive weather alert system, visualisation platform and weather data API, all tailored to meet diverse user needs
